Childhood vaccination rates are continuing to drop—in the U.S. and globally.
While a majority of eligible American children are getting their vaccines, the number of young students reporting exemptions to their schools has been steadily rising over the past few years. As vaccine misinformation and scientific mistrust continue to spread, this trend is also reflected globally. Per the WHO and UNICEF, across the world, 2.7 million more children lack the vaccine protections they need when compared to pre-2020 childhood vaccination rates.
