Great potential for medtech innovation: The hospital staffing crisis

“Workforce challenges” (i.e., staff shortages) were cited as the top issue for hospital CEOs in the U.S., according to the American College of Healthcare Executives’ annual survey. Though these numbers reflect how pressing this crisis is in the U.S., the global healthcare system is feeling the staffing squeeze, too. Medtech is taking notice, and we expect the medical staffing and clinical workflow assistant digital health tools to proliferate in response.
