MedTech startups raised $16.7 billion in 2020

VC investment in MedTech increased by one-third to over $16.7 billion in 2020. As the coronavirus pandemic pushed health care services out of hospitals, healthcare sector caught the attention of venture capitalists. In the first quarter of 2021, nearly US$8 billion has already been invested, almost half the amount from 2020.
