Older Americans maintain skepticism about AI-generated health information.

While it may seem more and more people are growing more accepting of—and even excited about—generative AI in healthcare, one demographic group remains wary. Americans age 50+ overwhelmingly reported not trusting AI-generated health information. While healthy skepticism is important for identifying misinformation, these results must be taken into account for innovators creating patient-facing GenAI healthcare products. After all, trust is core to product uptake, and the population is aging more and more each year.
